Sean Meade is a dynamic saxophonist based in Wilmington, North Carolina, known for his ability to move seamlessly between genres like hip-hop, funk, jazz, electronic, rock, and R&B. With a sound that’s both soulful and adventurous, Sean brings a unique voice to every performance—whether he’s collaborating with bands or leading the charge with his own project, Echromatics, a genre-blending group that fuses the spirit of jazz with the grit of hip-hop and funk. 

A graduate of UNCW and Berklee College of Music’s Valencia campus, Sean has spent the last decade carving out his place in the music scene both locally and on the road. His versatility and drive have made him a go-to performer for live shows and studio work alike. 

In addition to his work on stage, Sean is committed to nurturing the local jazz scene through education and mentorship. From workshops to private lessons, he’s passionate about inspiring the next generation of musicians and continuing to elevate Wilmington’s musical landscape.
